Overview:
Disney’s Saratoga Springs is a Disney Vacation Club Resort, which offers spacious accommodations from studios, one bedroom villas, two bedroom villas and three bedroom grand villas. Conveniently located along the Sassogoula River means easy boat access to Disney Springs. Disney’s Saratoga Springs is a Deluxe Resort meaning it is in the highest price range. However, villas come with complete kitchens and washer and dryers.

Resort Map & sections:

Inspired by Saratoga, New York and its iconic horse racing the sections around the resort are themed as such. With 5 different sections spread across the resort, they all have the same theming inside and offer the same room types.

The Springs - this section is closest to the main building with check in, Artist’s Palate Quick Service and Turf Club sit down restaurant and High Rock Springs Pool. This is the last bus stop on the way out of the resort to and from the parks.

The Paddock - this section has its own pool with a slide and an aquatic play area. Paddock also has its own grill on the pool deck. It is the 4th bus stop to and from the parks.

Congress Park - this section is closest to the walkway to Disney Springs. Congress Park has its own quiet pool with a small play ground next to it. It is the 3rd bus stop to and from the parks.

The Carousel - this section is the most quiet out of any of them. It has no quiet pool and the only play area is a small carousel in the middle of the area. It is the 2nd bus stop to and from the parks.

The Grandstand - this section has its own quiet pool, a small splash area with pretend horses that spray water as well as the Backstretch Pool Bar that offers small bites and drinks. The Grandstand also has grills available for guests to grill their own meals. It is the 1st bus stop to and from the parks.

Room types:
Saratoga Springs offers four types of rooms each with different accommodation options.

Studio - Studios at Saratoga Springs sleep up to 4 guests with a variety of options. These can come with one king bed, one queen bed and one sleeper sofa or two queen beds. These rooms have one full bathroom.

One Bedroom - One Bedrooms at Saratoga Springs sleep up to 5 guests with one king sized bed, one queen sized pull down sleeper sofa from the wall and a pull down from under the tv. This room has one full bathroom with a toilet, shower, two sinks and a bathtub. There is also a full kitchen, with dishes, full sized refrigerator, stove top, oven, microwave, sink, dishwasher and dining room table.

Two bedroom - Two bedroom villas incorporate all of the amenities of a studio and one bedroom combined. They sleep up to 9 guests total. The second bedroom is exactly the same as a studio but always has two queen sized beds.

Three bedroom grand villa - The three bedroom grand villa is the ultimate suite at Saratoga. Taking up two stories this room sleeps up to 13 people with three full bedrooms and three full bedrooms. Two bedrooms and bathrooms are upstairs with one bedroom, living room, kitchen and dining room downstairs.

Pools & Recreation:
Disney’s Saratoga Springs has two guarded pools with slides and two quiet pools.

High Rock Springs Pool is the “big pool” located by the main lobby building and which services restaurants. High Rock Springs pool has two slides, one large slide and an ADA slide perfect for little kids. Located closest to the community hall this is where the resort’s poolside games occur! Check times for activities once at the resort as they are subject to change. Usual activities include, nighttime outdoor movies, free campfire with marshmallow roasting, as well as poolside trivia, bingo and crafts inside community hall. Bike and Surrey bike rentals are also available at community hall as well as activities for purchase like ceramic painting and Mickey tie dye t shirts.

Paddock Pool also has its own slide which has been described as “the fastest resort slide on property” perfect for kids and adults. This pool is located by the Paddock rooms but also very close to the Carousel buildings as that part of the resort doesn’t have its own pool. Paddock Pool is also home to Paddock Grill and its own aquatic play area. Meaning there’s no need to go anywhere else to eat or play.

Congress Park also has its own quiet pool, meaning it was unguarded and no slide. There is a small playground nearby perfect for families looking to swim but have some seclusion.

The Grandstand Pool is another quiet pool but it has its own bar and grill with some smaller food options as well as grills available to grill your own food. There is a splash area as well with horses that spray water.

All of the pools have their own hot tubs and High Rock Springs has two.

Dining Options:
There are three poolside dining options perfect for dining while relaxing by the pool. Refillable drink machines are available at all poolside dining locations.

Artist’s Palate is the quick service dining option in the main lobby building. They offer American style food as well as flatbread pizzas for lunch and dinner.

The Turf Club Bar and grill is a sit down dining option also located in the main lobby building. It is around the corner from Artist’s Palate. This offers an elevated experience with different American cuisine including burgers. There is no dress code required to dine.

Location and Transportation:
Disney’s Saratoga Springs is located conveniently on the Sassogoula River making it easy boat access to Disney Springs. Due to its close proximity to Disney Springs there is also a walking path. A walking path is also next to the boat dock that ends at the west side of Disney Springs by Circ De Sole.

Congress Park is located closest to Disney Springs and is about a 5-10 minute walk depending on the side of the section starting on. This path ends on the East side of Disney Springs by Goofy’s Candy Co.

All theme parks of assessable via bus only. The busses start at the Grandstand for pick up and drop off to and from the parks and end at the Springs.

Recommendations:
Disney’s Saratoga Springs is perfect for multigenerational families with its villas. Its pool and expansive activities make it great for those looking to have a relaxing stay without a need to visit the theme parks. There’s plenty to do just staying at the resort.

If rope dropping is your priority I recommend requesting a room at the Grandstand because buses in the morning do fill up and sometimes get to the last stop with little to no availability. This also gives access to a quiet pool and isn’t too far of a walk to High Rock Springs Pool.

If the pool and a relaxing resort stay are your focus I would recommend requesting a room near Paddock or High Rock Springs pools. These offer lots of fun and relaxation. They are also not too far of a walk from Congress Park to Disney Springs.
My favorites about this resort:
Growing up going to this resort I treasure every memory I’ve created here, but objectively speaking the slide at the Paddock Pool is one of the best resort slides on Disney property. It is fast and run for all ages.
