The Disney Dining Plan is a prepaid meal package available exclusively to guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel as part of a vacation package. Rather than paying for each meal out of pocket, you receive a set number of meal and snack credits per person, per night - so you can focus on the magic. instead of the menu prices.
For 2026, Disney offers two tiers of the Dining Plan, and one very exciting promotion that makes this year, particularly compelling for families with young children.    Travelling in 2027?  The DIning Plan has 3 tiers!

​The Two Plans for 2026
Each plan is priced per person, per night of your resort stay. Credits are shared across your party and can be used flexibly at any point during your trip — they are not locked to specific days.

QUICK-SERVICE PLAN includes:
2 Quick-Service meal credits per person/per night of your stay
Each meal includes 1 entrée + 1 beverage (alcoholic or non-alcoholic).
1 Snack credit per person/per night of your stay
Mickey bars, Dole Whip, churros, pastries, Starbucks, and more.
1 Resort-Refillable Mug per person
Use at any Disney Resort hotel for your entire stay.
(Does not include Table-Service restaurants.)

DISNEY DINING PLAN includes:
1 Table-Service Credit per person/per night of your stay - Entrée + dessert (lunch/dinner) + beverage, or full buffet/family-style meal.
1 Quick-Service credit per person/per night of your stay -Entrée + beverage at counter-service locations.
1 Snack credit per person/per night of your stay - Same snack options as the Quick-Service plan.
1 Resort-Refillable Mug per person.
Use at any Disney Resort hotel for your entire stay.
(2 credits unlock signature dining, dinner shows & Be Our Guest)
Note: Gratuity is not included in either plan for most table-service restaurants. Budget an additional 18–20% for sit-down meals.

The Big 2026 News: Kids Eat Free!
Children ages 3–9 eat FREE on both plans in 2026. For every adult purchasing a Disney Dining Plan package, children ages 3–9 in the same room receive the identical plan at no additional cost.  Children under 3 continue to eat free by sharing from an adult's plate. This applies to both plans, and it makes the 2026 Disney Dining Plan one of the strongest value offers Disney has put forward in years. Kids must order from the children's menu when one is available. Snack credits work exactly the same — Dole Whip, churros, Mickey bars, and EPCOT festival bites all included.

Understanding Your Credits
Credits are not locked to specific days or meals. You receive your full allotment upfront and can redistribute them however your group eats best throughout your stay.

Table-Service Credit:

• Sit-down restaurants and Character dining & buffets across all four parks, Disney Springs & resorts.
• Includes and Entrée + dessert + beverage.
• ​Two credits unlock signature dining, dinner shows & Be Our Guest.

Quick-Service Credit:

• Counter-service & fast-casual spots across all four parks, Disney Springs & resorts.
• Includes an Entrée + beverage.
• No reservations needed

Snack Credit:

• Any single-serve item with the DDP symbol including Mickey bars, Dole Whip, churros, pastries, Starbucks, and EPCOT festival small plates.

Credits are shared across your whole party, not assigned per person. Use them however your group eats best.

Tips to Maximize Every Credit
The Dining Plan is only a great deal if you use it strategically. Here is how our Disney vacation planning experts at Tink's get the most out of every credit.

Use Table-Service credits on character meals:  Chef Mickey's, Cinderella's Royal Table, Garden Grill - out-of-pocket these run $55–$75+ per adult. One credit covers everything.

Order an alcoholic beverage: A cocktail or glass of wine with your table-service meal is included. At $14–$18 a drink, this alone can close the value gap quickly.

Use snack credits at EPCOT festivals:  Food & Wine and other festival booths have $8–$14 small plates marked snack-eligible. Far better value than a $4 bottled water.

Book Table Service Dining Reservations the moment your window opens: Advance Dining Reservations open 60 days out.   Popular spots like Be Our Guest and Cinderella's Royal Table fill up extremely fast.
Track credits in My Disney Experience: Credits expire at midnight on checkout day. Monitor your balance daily and redistribute if you're running ahead or behind.
Use 2 Table-Service credits on signature dining:  Two credits unlock Jiko, California Grill, and Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, among the highest-value uses on the entire plan.

Which Plan Is Right for You?
Quick-Service Plan is best if...

• You prefer a fast-paced park day with minimal time sitting down.
• You have picky eaters who love counter-service options.
• You want maximum flexibility and don't want to commit to reservation times.
• You're traveling on a tighter budget.

Standard Plan is best if...

• You want at least one leisurely sit-down meal per day.
• You're planning character dining. This is where the plan truly shines.
• You plan to order drinks with dinner.
• You want to experience Disney's most iconic restaurants without the sticker shock.

Skip the plan if...

• You're light eaters unlikely to use all credits.
• You prefer dining off-property.
• You're on a short 2–3 night stay.
• You don't want to plan meals in advance and prefer total spontaneity.

What's Not Included
A few important things to keep in mind when planning around your credits. The following are not covered by either Dining Plan:

• Gratuities at table-service restaurants (budget 18–20%)
• Airfare, park tickets, or Disney Resort fees
• Souvenir cups, popcorn buckets, and bottle toppers
• Multi-serving items (whole pizzas, jars, boxes)
• Special dining events and hard-ticket experiences
• Dining at non-participating locations

The Dining Plan works best as a budgeting tool and a way to ensure you're eating well - not just grabbing a quick bite. Plan intentionally and the value is absolutely there.
