By Tink's Vacation Planner, Kristen. I recently had the opportunity to experience a Disney World Specialty Fireworks Cruise with some co-workers. I have seen the Happily Ever After Fireworks show from various locations in and around the Magic Kingdom but viewing the show from the boat was SPECTACULAR! We were picked up at the Wilderness Lodge an hour prior to the Magic Kingdom Fireworks and cruised around the Seven Seas Lagoon. Our private pontoon boat Captain shared some Disney memories and Disney trivia during the 40 minute tour of the Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake before the fireworks started. Each boat is outfitted with snacks, sweet goodies, as well as a cooler with water and soda. We passed several boats that were celebrating birthdays and anniversaries and we were told that Disney will decorate your boat for your own special occasion, included in the price. When the Fireworks show started the music was pumped in through the boat and I instantly had goosebumps. While on the cruise, the view of the fireworks was much better than viewing it from the park. This is due to less people, trees, or any other objects in the way. It’s also a magical feeling to actually be on the water when the fireworks are happening. It was an incredible night watching the fireworks from the boat and as soon as the show ended we were immediately treated to the Electrical Water Pageant! It was breathtaking to be up so close to the Water Pageant!
General Information: A 21-foot pontoon can comfortably accommodate up to eight guests, and the 25-foot pontoons can accommodate up to ten guests. Pick-up locations include Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, Disney’s Contemporary Resort, and Disney’s Fort Wilderness. When booking your Fireworks cruise you are asked for your preferred pick-up location. The current cost of the cruises are $318.44 for 8 people (including taxes and fees) and $371.69 for 10 people (including taxes and fees). Pricing is subject to change, and availability is limited. If you are a DVC member you can save 10% on any of the Fireworks cruises. Celebration Cruise banners and balloons can be requested upon booking the cruise (they are included in the cost). You are able to bring food and beverages on your pontoon boat. Fireworks Cruises may be further enhanced by adding Private Dining for an additional fee — you can ask about this at the time of booking. Fireworks cruises can be booked 180 days prior to your vacation. I highly recommend grabbing some family and friends for a VIP boat tour and viewing the most Magical Fireworks in all of Disney! |
