Recently I got to experience Nomad Lounge at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park. Nomad Lounge is located between the entrance to Tiffins restaurant and the bridge heading into Pandora. It is a true hidden gem that I’m going to share with you. This had come highly recommended to me from friends so I knew I had to try it. AND IT WAS AMAZING! First, it is important to note that Nomad Lounge does not accept advance dining reservations, they have a walk up list only. Normally, it is a very short wait, but the day I went it was super rainy so they had over an hour call back time.
There are two seating areas, one in door and one outdoor. The outdoor seating area is covered and views the river. I was with my sister who had been there before, and we decided to eat outside so we can see the character boats float by as we ate. We were seated right along the water. We started out with drinks, she ordered the Leaping Lizard ($17), a pineapple rum drink and I tried the Hibiscus Henna ($7.25), a non-alcoholic watermelon drink. Both were super light and delicious. Nomad Lounge was advertised as serving only small appetizers, but I thought that they were pretty regular sized. I tried the Tiffins Bread Service ($18), The Land Salad ($14) and Churros ($10) and my sister tried the Plant Based Korean Barbeque Mushroom Bao Buns ($15). The Land Salad was much larger than advertised, but it was delicious. Like the name indicates, the vegetables in this salad were grown in The Land pavilion at Epcot. I always take any opportunity I get to eat food grown from The Land because it’s always fresh and delicious, and this salad did not disappoint. The Tiffins Bread surface offered a variety of bread options and it was more than enough to share with my sister. All of the breads were super fresh and warmed. Out of all of the bread offerings the Brazilian Cheese Bread was my favorite. Finally, the churros did not disappoint. Not only were they warm and freshly made, they were the perfect amount of crunchiness and sugariness. Dare I say they are the best churros on Walt Disney World property? I’ll let you be the final judge of that. |
