I fell in love with Disneyland in 1987! The very first time I went, at age 20, I was captivated by the wonder, awe and twinkling lights shining down from the Castle at the end of Main Street USA. I’m pretty sure my smile beamed the entire day, the transformation of walking into a whole new world was magical. I lost track of time and just immersed myself in my own storybook. I was determined to come back; this would not be a one time experience.
Since then, I’ve been to Disney World and Disneyland too many times to count. I have experienced Disneyland Paris, cruised on the Wonder and became a Disney Vacation Club member as well. One of my very favorite events to attend is Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween-it’s so much fun to interact with the characters when they spot your costume! I was able to “Walk in Walt’s Footsteps” at Disneyland and visit Walt’s apartment above the fire station. What an honor! I was privileged to be able to take my first child to Disneyland on her 2nd birthday, and I’ve come full circle to be able to take my first grandchild to Disney World for his 2nd birthday.
I’ve stayed at many different hotels and done trips with family, friends, and solo. As a military wife, I’m well-informed about the ways Disney honors service families. I was able to meet up with friends from around the globe, who are now family, at Disney. In the same way that I fondly recall my first experience, it makes my heart happy to watch the joy in the faces of friends and family when they walk onto Main Street for the first time!
Disney is my happy place. To celebrate my 50th birthday, I completed my first, um, maybe last, 1/2 Marathon at the Wine and Dine Festival. Participating in a RunDisney event and crossing the finish line right outside of Epcot was such a huge accomplishment for me! Disney is so much a part of me; my first thought after healing from cancer surgery was to take an impromptu trip to Disney World, so I could lounge in the waterpark and relax in the lazy river as soon as I arrived. There’s nothing better than being able to forget the rest of the world and just be present! Thankfully, I’m now cancer free!
I am so excited to be part of the Tink’s family and have the opportunity to organize a Disney adventure for you. I would love to help you experience the wonder and magic that awaits by using my expertise to help construct the perfect experience for you, down to the last detail, even where to stop and rest with a Mickey Bar! On every trip I discover something new, like a hidden mickey or the chance to meet an elusive character, and I can’t wait to help illuminate the hidden magic and help you create memories that last a lifetime!
