My love for all things Disney started when I was a child. My parents took my brother, sister and I to the Walt Disney World® Resort when I was eleven years old. The entire trip I was in awe of all the magic that surrounded me. We stayed at Dixie Landings (now Port Orleans Riverside) and I can remember being totally fine with the thought of never leaving. I didn’t return to the Walt Disney World® Resort until 2005. Since then, I have been to Walt Disney World® a total of ten times! Each and every time I walk down Main Street U.S.A. I am surrounded by a feeling of peace and magic!
My name is Mindy and I teach fifth grade math. My family includes my husband Brent and I and our sweet baby son.. When we got married, Brent and I honeymooned at the Walt Disney World® Resort for a week. We had the absolute best time. We stayed at the Disney’s Animal Kingdom Kidani Villas. Each morning we would wake up, sit on our balcony, and watch the safari animals down below. Our honeymoon was absolutely magical. In true Disney fashion, many cast members went out of their way to make our trip even more magical. Now that our baby son has arrived, we have already taken him to Walt Disney World®, and it was so magical watching his eyes fill with wonder as he enjoyed meeting Mickey and Minnie for the first time.
During my stays at the Walt Disney World® Resort I have experienced many of the hotels ranging from a Deluxe Disney Villa to the Disney Value resorts. My goal is to stay at each Disney resort at least one time! Each time I go to the “World” I always partake in the Disney Dining plan. Eating at the fabulous Disney restaurants has become a favorite part of each trip for me. I have been to numerous restaurants and we try to add a new restaurant each time we go. We have ventured to the Walt Disney World® Resort during many holidays and special events. I have attended EPCOT’s International Food and Wine Festival, EPCOT’s International Flower and Garden Festival, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. I have also been an annual pass holder for several years!
In the near future my family plans to take advantage of all the different destinations Disney has to offer such as Disney Cruise Line sailings, vacations at the Disneyland® Resort, some grand adventures with Adventures by Disney®, and some time basking in the sunshine at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa in Hawaii.
