Packing List for Alaskan Cruises

Dress comfortably for vacation—plus bring the appropriate attire for such activities as dinners and Port Adventures.

​Embarkation Day Basics
Pack these items in a day bag to keep with you, as your luggage may not arrive at your stateroom until a few hours after boarding:

• Medications (in their original containers)
• Passport and travel documentation
• Camera and accessories (batteries, memory card, etc.)
• Extra prescription glasses or contact lenses
• Sunscreen or hat
• Bathing suit
• Reading material

​Alaskan Cruises
The average summer temperatures in Alaska can range from a high of 62 degrees Fahrenheit to an average low of 45 degrees Fahrenheit. Layering is recommended, so pack accordingly. The pools aboard the cruise ship will be open and are heated if the temperature falls below 75 degrees Fahrenheit.

Attire and Accessories
Here is our suggested list of things to pack in your luggage:

• Warm hat

• Sweaters, sweatshirts or pullovers

Dining Attire
Disney Cruise Line ships feature an array of diverse dining experiences, from casual to upscale. Be sure to follow the dress code for your restaurant:

• Main Dining – Dining attire is cruise casual in all 3 main dining restaurants, meaning no swimwear or tank tops. Guests often like to dress up, but this is optional.
• Adult Exclusive Dining at Palo – To preserve the elegant ambiance of this restaurant, you are asked to adhere to a dress code when dining at Palo. We recommend dress pants or slacks and a collared shirt for men, and a dress, skirt or pants and a blouse for women. Jeans may also be worn if in good condition (no holes). Please no tank tops, swimsuits, swimsuit cover-ups, shorts, hats, cut-offs, torn clothing, t-shirts with offensive language and/or graphics, flip-flops or tennis shoes.
• Themed Nights – On 7-night sailings and longer cruises, the ship offers themed nights—including a formal night—and you're encouraged to dress up and participate in the evening's festivities.

What Not To Pack
Everyone onboard a Disney cruise must comply with specific safety guidelines mandated by U.S. Customs and Port Security. This includes not packing certain items.
Please DO NOT bring:

• Firearms and ammunition, any kind of knives, swords, daggers, bullwhips or any other types of weapons are not allowed on the ship under any circumstances. If you arrive with such items, you must surrender them to Port Security for the duration of your cruise and you can retrieve them when you return to port.
• Homemade, precooked or other perishable items
• Irons, bottle warmers, sporting equipment, balloons, candles, musical instruments, illegal drugs inclusive of medically prescribed and synthetic marijuana
• Coolers, except for those carrying medications, baby food or items related to dietary constraints

Important Information

• You will be too far south to see the aurora borealis—or northern lights—during your cruise, but you can still anticipate beautiful scenery as you travel through Alaska.
• The Pixar Party takes place in the ship's atrium.
• There are no fireworks on Alaska sailings.
