One of my favorite quotes by Walt Disney is, “All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.” Never in a million years did I think I would have this opportunity to help others enjoy the magic of Disney that I have come to love so much!
Growing up, I visited the Walt Disney World® Resort several times with my parents. I enjoyed each trip, but I never realized the impact it would make on my life as an adult. I grew up thinking I was a princess, even insisting on a “princess ball gown” for my wedding dress. My husband had no clue what he had gotten himself into when he married me!
I was born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee, which is where we still currently live. My husband, Russell, and I went to high school together, started dating in college and got married a few years ago. Since then, we’ve had nothing but adventures! I started my dream job as a nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, we bought a house and adopted a puppy because we were convinced that my childhood dog needed a sister (she still disagrees). We travel and our latest adventure has been in a 1979 pop-up camper –we can’t wait to take it to Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort!
Iam here to tell you, Disney is not just for kids! We went on our first Disney Cruise Line trip in 2011 with my family, shortly after we had gotten engaged. It was a double dip to Castaway Cay, and it was the most amazing vacation I had ever been on. That was all it took to get me hooked! Since then, my husband and I have been on two more cruises, with a third one booked. We have also visited the Walt Disney World® Resort a few times, with my most memorable moment being when we went for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Seeing Main Street, USA all decorated with fall décor and pumpkins, watching the spectacular Halloween parade and the magical fireworks behind Cinderella Castle made the night unforgettable. Every single time we experience Disney, I learn something new that I didn’t know before, and I ache to plan my next trip before we’re even home!
