By Tink's Planner, Missy. Have you ever wondered what it would be like to get married on a Disney Cruise Line vacation? I recently experienced this and I want to tell you all about it! After lots of hopes, dreams, and planning, my fiancee and I decided that we would take our families on a Disney Cruise to watch us get married. After months of wedding planning (getting the dress, deciding on flowers, getting the children all set with passports, making sure everything was all set), it was time to hop on the airplane and leave the cold weather behind. With ten bags plus a wedding dress in tow, we made it through O'Hare and to my favorite place ... Walt Disney World®! This was going to be an amazing wedding with our dreams coming true. We splurged for our wedding and stayed in the Grand Floridian two bedroom villa. It was beautiful. Just like that we were off. Almost a year of planning and it was time for our wedding cruise. Wedding shirts and magnets. The minute we boarded Disney Cruise Line made us feel special - from invitations to a welcome gift on our stateroom bed! I had fifteen minutes of alone time before our wedding planner, Malisa, came to get me before I was taken off the ship at Castaway Cay. I was taken on a golf cart to where the ceremony would take place. We were married by a Bahamian officiant. It was a very beautiful ceremony about love and combining our families. And just like that .... we were married. After the ceremony it was time for the family photos. We loved our photographer, Rachelle! We were then taken for photos on the island and on the ship. Yes, we really were taken around the island on a golf cart that said "just married"! And we had to get some photos taken with our pal, Mickey! Then it was time for the reception. It was on the fourteenth floor in The Outlook. We had champagne, cake, and a piano player (he was also at the beach). They surprised us with a cake serving set from Fairy Tale Weddings and Honeymoons for us to take home! We went back to our stateroom after dinner and this was on our bed with a bottle of Champagne ... and our five kids too! This was the most magical, amazing experience. We felt like royalty the entire cruise! If you are interested in a planning a Disney Cruise Line wedding, please free to reach out and contact Missy or other planners at Tink's Magical Vacations.
